Let's be honest - kids LOVE technology. Boogie boards are an awesome piece of technology that one of my kids described as "a post it note, but an electronic version". We work hard everyday on problem solving and we use a lot of paper to do it. The boogie boards are a way to save paper while working out problems. An e-writer, more specifically the Boogie Board Jot 8.5, is a very thin LCD screen. A "pen" or stylus, allows users to draw and write, just like pen on paper. Our school started an environmental club a few years ago and the kids have really bought into being more "earth friendly". We always recycle paper but the boogie boards would let kids work out problems and save paper. They also can work out problems on the boogie board first and gather their thoughts before they write on a final copy.
