Flexible seating gives students the power of choice! It allows students to have some control of their environment. They have the opportunity to make choices that work best and fits their needs. The students are more comfortable, allowing them to be focused and engaged for a longer period of time. Children need to move and alternative seating allows them to wiggle, or for some gives them the sensory input needed to stay focused. Students can choose to work with a group or individually in a quieter spot. It also helps teach the students to share. Flexible seating helps make learning fun.
