By combining both literacy and STEAM activities, my students will get a whole brain work out!
Being able to hear a story and then create, touch, feel, and make will allow these little Kindergarteners to give their brains a great work out every day! For example, after reading the book, Ricky the Rock Who Couldn't Roll, my students will take a walk around campus and find a rock to paint with the acrylic paints!
Math manipulatives should be fun and engaging! The Schoolzy Geometric Shapes are a great way for students to learn 3D shapes by touching them, turning them over to see all sides, and holding them in their hands. A much different approach than looking at them in a book!
Hands-on activities combined with books based on the activity will provide the excitement I want my students to associate with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math!
