In my classroom, collaboration is key. The CDC recommends social distancing in schools (which precludes student collaboration) or the use of partitions when social distancing is not possible. As teachers, we are having to balance evidence-based teaching practices and making our students' health and safety our top priority.
This project will provide plexiglass partitions so that students are still able to work in their groups while being protected. Our students will be able to maintain their collaborative groups to learn from each other and not feel isolated within the classroom.
