Play is a daily activity in my classroom. Children view play times as a break from the academic rigor of the school day. However, play time is my favorite time of day to watch the students in my class learn and grow. As children begin to play in their self selected play areas I see their social emotional development, motor skills, language skills and problem solving blossom. Children truly make sense of the world around them through play. By donating to our project, you will not only bring happiness to my students, you will be providing them with brand new experiences to encourage fun while learning. All of the play materials that I have selected will help bring to life the content in our math, science and social studies curriculum. I can just picture the joy on their faces as I show them their new play materials!
