My fourth grade students work so hard every single day, I want to give them time to be able to "let their genius out"! I would like to open my classroom early on Friday mornings, before the bell rings, and allow students to have intentional game time. The purpose is to dive into some hands-on activities and also do some art (which we never have time for!). Not to mention, it will build positive relationships with each other. This "Power Hour" will allow students to choose which activity they want to participate in, whether it is in strategy games, building with Legos or other engineering games, and art stations (painting and drawing). The materials and supplies I requested are games and art supplies to fulfill this wish for the students in my classroom. They deserve some time to have some fun at school. (Just don't tell them all the life skills they will be learning while they do it!)
