The countries book I ordered will continue to provide children with pictures of different countries and cultures, as well as help me prepare for lessons about different countries in the world. The chalkboard, colored pencils, Sharpies, and the pencil sharpener will help the students with different projects we do in the classroom. When you combine activities that require movement, talking, and listening, it activates multiple areas of the brain. That’s exactly what we do at the language club, children learn to use their body and hands to sign words, while they listen to the Arabic version of words, work on an activity using their imagination and different materials and learn to move and dance on French songs. Our world is filled with amazing, diverse people and cultures. I believe that the more cultures our children are exposed to, the more accepting they are of people and cultures that are different from them.
