6th grade students enter my class without any formal music instruction and leave more confident, determined, and disciplined individuals through the power of learning an instrument.
I teach music in a 6-8 middle school, and have the pleasure to teach 8 different classes of 6th graders in a music appreciation class. I came across a class set of violins and wanted to continue teaching a beginning string class, yet we are in desperate need of violin bows.
The class set that we currently have are very old and broken, so we are short a class set of bows. The bow is very important, because without a good bow, the violin sounds very thin and scratchy.
