Very few of my students have access to technology at home. By allowing my students time in my classroom to access work and books through tablets, they are learning skills required to be 21st-century learners. Tablets also allow my developing readers a way to access print that is engaging to them but not on a level they are able to read.
When reading on tablets, my students will be able to choose from a wide variety of books that are engaging and that they are able to read independently. On the tablets, my students have access to games and materials that grow them as learners and help them become better readers. My students have always loved being able to read on classroom tablets and funding from this will allow me to purchase more tablets to encourage more reading!
