One area of study is learning about alternative sources of energy, whether through wind, solar, hydro, or others (some yet to be discovered). I would like to have a class set of 10 Solar Energy Kits for my students to use. As a teacher it is challenging when you only have a few kits for the kids to use, but with 10 kits, I could engage the whole class one time. My students want hands-on learning and I want to be able to give that to them. I tell my students "you could be the first human to walk on Mars", I want them to believe big! We start small in the classroom, but I believe every one of my students has the opportunity to go big. Going to Mars will rely on people understanding how to sustain life through alternative energy sources. With these new kits my students will learn about these basics. They will be building solar cars, solar merry-go-rounds, solar pumps, and whatever other ideas they come up with. Thank you for listening to our story. My students (and I) truly appreciate it!
