I am working on building my students' knowledge in technology by giving them access to new technologies that they don’t have at home or at school. Our students love to learn through technology, and these Spheros would give them the opportunity to learn coding in a hands-on and highly engaging way. Apart from learning how to code, they will also learn to work in teams to solve problems as they work out plans on paper, execute them in code, and then troubleshoot areas were they need to adjust their code.
This project will help my students problem solve, teach them how to work as a team, and that it’s ok to go back to the drawing board to perfect their end project. Our students will undoubtedly create programs beyond our expectations and will share them with the larger coding community. These are all skills that need to be learned at every age of development and will result in 21 century learners that are ready to tackle their ever changing future.
