As a child, I devoured books. In the third grade, I was known to read 2 or 3 chapter books a week. That was due in part to my mom, who fostered my love for reading, but also a teacher who remains near and dear to my heart, because she always made sure to put beautiful, authentic text in my hands whenever possible. Unfortunately, most of my students have not grown to adore reading in the same way I did.
Imagine the impact on these students if they had amazing books that will spark their individual interests! This large collection of books will hopefully do just that for my kiddos. Each of these books was chosen with a specific lesson in mind, as well as a place in our classroom library so that students will be able to read their favorites over and over again.
