My students will learn about the Gold Rush. They will create their own newspapers and have to write about different topics that were happening during the Gold Rush. These books will not only help my students with their research but it will allow them to see pictures of actual miners and life during the Gold Rush. I have asked for different level books so every student in my class will benefit from this project.I have also requested different topics so my class can get a wider variety and have a more cohesive look at what the Gold Rush actually involved. They are so excited for their newspapers I know they will appreciate all the different titles and topics of these books.
