These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is shared amongst three dual immersion teachers. Every book chosen in this list has been written by a Latin American author. There is nothing like a great books written in Spanish for students learning the language. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time and continue growing in reading in Spanish.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books from Latin American authors that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level in Spanish.
Students will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading Spanish. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
