The student currently sit on the tile floor. It is cold and hard. I have made this request for a rug so that the students could have a soft place to sit during storytime and a place to play games during indoor recess. During storytime the students will be more comfortable sitting on the rug and their attention would be more focused on the story and less on their bottoms hurting. We usually sit for 10-15 minutes during our story. After our story, I love to play a game where they are learning more about that weeks goal in math or literacy. We could play games around the alphabet to learn our ABC's. We could use the numbers in the middle to do the numbers march.
