These supplies like pens, scissors, pencils, markers, etc. will allow students to complete the important work that gets done in our AVID classroom. This includes researching colleges & universities, future careers, and other academic topics. Students create resumes, work on college applications, scholarships, and complete other scholarly opportunities. They will be able to create pennants and other posters using the colored pencils, markers, scissors, and pens. Staying organized is a vital part of the AVID curriculum. The Bostitch stapler and the Swingline whole punch will allow students to stay on top of this important life skill. The sticky notes and highlighters will be used to annotate articles, as well as develop high level questioning. This is used during Socratic seminars and philosophical chairs.
