When shopping for materials, I had two things in mind. One was the content that I wanted to enrich with my students, and the other was my students specific areas of need. My students are all performing below grade level, as I teach Special Education. Some of my students face several disabilities, and writing can be such a challenge for them. None the less, my students show up with a smile everyday and work as hard as they can. By giving them activities like the ones requested, they really enjoy learning spelling, phonics, and the conventions of writing. They LOVE hands on activities, and I love watching them enjoy learning through them.
