Introducing flexible seating options into my classroom would aid in giving students options for working where and how they feel most comfortable. These students aren’t meant to be stationed in one spot all day long. Kids innately want movement throughout the day.
In addition to the traditional desks and chairs, this seating would allow for a variety of new and different work spaces. These areas would be available for students to use during small group time and center rotations. The students will not only get new work environments, but they will also get the chance to get up and move around more frequently.
