The items that I am requesting will be utilized by students every day in class. I am trying to begin flexible seating in my classroom. I have a diverse group of students all with different learning styles and needs. I want to remove chairs and desks and allow students to have the option to sit where best fits their needs for the day. Students will get to rotate around the room to different types of seats. This will help increase their attention span and help encourage them to get their work done.
"Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It also allows them to change their location and positions as needed." - Smith System blog
