These materials will allow students to experience different engineering techniques and be exposed to the possibilities that are available in STEM.
By having 3D pens, students can visualize the sketching techniques used by engineers and expand their spatial awareness. Students will also be able to utilize these pens to create models of ideas they had before using a CAD program. It will allow them to transfer their visualization to technology. In addition, students will have the understanding of 3D printing before moving into using an actual 3D printer. It will also give them the opportunity to collaborate with one another.
