Music is an absolute motivational tool for anyone who performs a workout routine. It can be hard for students who come from an area of poverty to find meaning in a physical education setting. With there being two PE teachers in our gym, we are in need of a way to always be able to connect to our Bluetooth speaker with ease.
The music that we will be collecting, and storing on our iPod touch will be chosen by our students to help motivate them through a combination of challenging workout routines. Furthermore, each grade will have their own music to choose from so that each group of students will have age-appropriate music.
Together with the combination of timers and the ability to connect this to heart rate monitors, the iPod will give our PE program more meaning to our young students.
