Our students come from homes where they don't get to make very many choices. The clothes they wear are just the ones that fit. The supplies they get are just the ones donated. The food they eat is what they have. Our students need the opportunity to make more choices and flexible seating in our room will give them options and choices.
Flexible seating will make learning more engaging and fun. After all, who really wants to sit in a chair all day? I plan to have a table for standing, a taller table for stools, two tables for wobble cushions to kneel at and bouncy balls for students to use with clipboards.
