Using visual aids and hands-on games and activities are an essential part of the learning that goes on in our classroom. Due to the make-up of my student population, creating different ways and methods for student learning is necessary for success! These activities will grab my students’ attention and allow for academic success.
I will use these games and activities in my classroom to teach my students oral language. Many of my students with special needs have difficulty expressing themselves, which is why these visual props would be a great asset to teach them vocabulary. These games will also allow my students to learn how to communicate and socialize with each other.
