Students are coming to school with such a wide variety of needs these days. Good teachers have many transitions throughout the day to help the children get movement. However, that's not always enough.
Some children need constant movement of their bodies. I hope that by offering flexible seating will help those children move their bodies and maintain their focus.
This day and age requires children to be thinkers. By offering STEM activities I'm hoping to challenge the thinking of the students in my class. One of the books we read is about the San Francisco Earthquake. This Survive the Quake Engineering kit will provide real world applications for them to understand what happens during an earthquake.
