I would like to help our basketball team by getting new basketballs. Ours are embarrassing. I had to buy a battery-operated pump because we inflate the balls before and during practice. Not only that, they are so old that some of them have bulges. The ironic thing is that these balls do not need to be inflated as much, and they bounce well, just not accurately. And finally, we have the children’s basketballs (for the second and third graders that we use (no kidding!!) because they are better quality than our team’s.
Our problem is not the number of basketballs we have (about 25), it is their poor quality and size. Ninety percent of them will be donated to the garbage when we get new ones. I would like to add a sense of pride to our team and show them that our school does care!
