Today our society is so full of technology that it is often difficult to engage children using the good 'ol worksheet and textbook activities that we all grew up with. Many of my students have spent more time with a video game controller in their hand than a book, but I also have many students that have not. Our school is a Title 1 school, which means we have a high percentage of low socioeconomic students. The materials I am requesting will allow my students to be open to the world of technology and learn how to use it for projects in the classroom. I have a class full of students ready to learn, no matter what their socioeconomic background is.
