My students come to school full of life and ready to learn! Just like adults get tired of sitting in hard chairs all day, students do too! They need more flexible/comfortable seating options to enhance student engagement and learning. Studies show that students learn better when they are physically active and comfortable. Students are able to sit, stand, kneel, etc.
Some of the seating options that will be provided with this project are comfy floor seats and student lap desks. These options will give my students the opportunity to sit comfortably and move around while they are learning. A rectangular table that is low to the floor will be used with the comfy floor seats. The student lap desks allow students to work wherever they feel most inspired.
