Students will become "Rock Stars" as they learn about how rocks are formed, where they are found, and how they are used in the world. The books will offer each student an opportunity to build background knowledge about earth science.
The students will identify and sort all the stones, gemstones, minerals, and fossils in the kit. They will discover how each rock type fits into the world around them. These books will also provide them with an opportunity to develop a hobby that everyone can afford, and that is rock collecting.
After learning about rocks, fifteen lucky students will be able to break the geodes open!
