I am asking for scratch-foam, pencils, construction paper, a brayer, and a speedball gel printing pack.
My students will be introduced to the idea of mass production on a small scale. Through this process they will learn that although they could make prints from one plate, each one will be slightly different depending on the amount of ink, the pressure applied and the kind of paper or surface that the image is imprinted on. They will also explore overlaying imagery producing delicate, reversed imagery, opening up a world of possibilities where art and design intersect. Presently, they are exploring symbolism within the movie, TV shows, video games and printmaking will give them another avenue for experimenting with ideas and concepts
