Students at my school earn Dot Dollars for exhibiting positive behavior, in order to purchase items from the Dot Spot (our school store).
The donations for this project will help improve students' overall character and school environment. Students will have tangible items to earn and work towards.
The items on our wish list are geared towards students from Kindergarten (i.e. bubbles and small party favors) to 6th grade students (i.e. light up glasses/rings, and emoji themed items like book bags). Items like the slap bracelets and are usually purchased from students in all grades. Slap bracelets are a fun, easy way for students to express themselves. The fidget spinners are also purchased and used by all grade levels at the Dot Spot. Students love to use them in and out of school. When students get these items from the school store, they are allowed to wear or use them in school. This, in fact, makes students a role model for positive behavior in the school and students walk around with pride!
It is amazing to witness how small items make an overall big difference!
This project is needed to fund our school store. We have gotten donations this year, but all of the monies and donations have run out. The students come to the school store once a week, on Mondays, to redeem their Dot Dollars. Unfortunately, they have not been able to come in the last month, due to supplies running low. I don't want the morale of the students, teachers, and whole school to decline towards the end of the school year because of the desolate school store. Students are continuing to show positive character through out the school day, and I would like them to continue to get rewarded for the positive change!
