I am asking for a variety of STEM resources including Brain Flakes, STEM construction kit, and Snap Circuits. With these supplies, each student will have enough resources available to them be able to plan, design, and build their projects. They will independently and collaboratively use these supplies again and again to design and create many projects over the course of the year.
My students will be given specific design challenges to complete using their new materials. They will brainstorm, plan, design, evaluate, and redesign their ideas until they have a finished product that meet the expectations. By going through this design process, students will understand what it takes to persevere through many attempts at design. I feel it is important for my students to learn the skill of working through a project until they know they have done a quality job. "Work until your are proud!"
