My students need high quality scientific calculators to help them be successful in 8th grade math, algebra, and beyond. Our current calculators do not have the essential functions needed for the level of math that we are learning.
With graphing calculators, students have the ability to use the square and cube root functions, graph linear, quadratic, and exponential functions on the screen, and analyze scatterplot data.
Using a graphing calculator allows students to focus on making connections between concepts and analyze more complicated real-world numbers to make learning math a more authentic experience. As students advance into high school level math classes, it is important for them to be fluent in how to operate this calculator, as it is commonly used through high school and college.
