This project will allow students to work together in groups analyzing primary sources. Today primary sources are digitized and available on multiple platforms. Students now have access to videos, film, audio files, 3D images of artifacts, virtual museums and simulations.
Being able to work together as a team to analyze primary sources does more than teach students about our past, it teaches them how to think, problem solve and work together. iPads will allow my students to interact directly with history whether through simple annotations on a political cartoon or virtual manipulation of a 3D artifact in a museum.
