Many of my students struggle to grasp abstract concepts in math. They have shown great success when they are able to get their hands on manipulatives. The use of manipulatives help connect the bridge from the concrete to the abstract. My students also thrive on using literacy to help make connections to their learning. The materials chosen for this project will be used to help students become strong mathematicians. The books will be used during whole group mini lessons and will be available for their reference during independent learning.
