Help my students with a subscription to a nonfiction reading newsletter from Time for Kids. Our classroom will benefit by making material relevant and also leveled to meet student needs. A Time for Kids subscription also includes online resources. Students who are struggling readers can read articles with audio assistance on the website. Real world learning will stem from this nonfiction reading material, such as letters to politicians, or class debates. Nonfiction reading material is lacking in our current adopted reading program. This nonfiction text will help me make my reading program better suited to common core objectives, which cannot be reached without good nonfiction selections.
