Teaching kindergarten dual language students is a challenge. Then you try adding the technology component to our daily learning schedule and it becomes nearly impossible. By having tablets in our class, my students wouldn't have to visit computer labs and wait for their once-a-week rotation. They could remain in the classroom and take turns using the tablets, while at centers, throughout the week. We'd also benefit from educational apps such as SeeSaw which allows students to instantly share with their parents what they are learning in class. What's best is our class' learning time would be maximized!
By donating to our project, you will help my students to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not worry about whether their technology is functioning properly or not. Technology will become part of their daily routines. You will also not only help to improve and increase student learning time and student and parent interaction, but you will, more importantly, increase their academic achievement.
Lastly, I have been fortunate to receive a CD listening center for my class. However, we need books with CDs. Please help us complete our listening center! Your donation, which will be matched 2x up to possibly 5x, will help us recover from Hurricane Harvey sooner than later!
