"The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" is a fictional novel about the Holocaust. The students have been learning about history in Language Arts and learning how to develop their own voice and opinions by reading about various events in U.S. History, including WWII and the Holocaust. I believe in deepening students' understanding by exposing them to cross-curricular content. This novel is a high-interest read, and I believe it will help encourage students to truly enjoy reading. We will start reading this book at the start of Quarter four. Any help in getting a class set of this novel for my students would be so appreciated.
