These hands-on materials will make a difference to my students learning. My project is to provide a method of learning that integrates Art Common Core State Standards into content lessons. We will laminate students finished works and display throughout the classroom and school.
My goal is to engage students by having them show their work in multiple ways. They will be able to do this by using a variety of colors (crayons/ markers) and using paper models to build a representation of their work. When we are teaching fractions, students will be able to use these hands-on materials as manipulatives to gain a conceptual understanding of the learning objective.
