I have taught at my school for over 20 years. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and now 5th. This is my first year in 5th grade. Everything is so new! It is very different to teach "the biggest kids"! I am grateful to have looped with my kids.
This year there will be a big learning curve - especially in math! I am grateful to get to do it with my former students, we have such a bond.
The challenge I foresee in the next year or two will be learning the new curriculum and gathering new materials. I feel I had "mastered" 4th grade and I could focus on fine tuning and trying new things. Now I am focused on learning all the new curriculum again!
I look forward to the challenges and I'm SUPER grateful to have a program such as this to help me reinvent my classroom and myself!
Thank you in advance!
