Music education is essential for every child. In my K–5 general music classroom, students explore all elements of music—rhythm, melody, harmony, form, timbre, and expression—through singing, movement, instrument playing, listening, and creating. These experiences build musical understanding while also teaching teamwork, communication, and confidence. With access to a variety of musical tools and opportunities, students can fully engage in music and grow as learners and individuals.
