Books are a staple within my classroom. We read them, learn from them and even write our own. Currently, my classroom has an overabundance of books, but they don't all have their moment in the spotlight because of storage purposes. Some are hidden behind each other, and others are stored in boxes hoping to have their chance with kindergarten hands.
By obtaining this new bookshelf, I will have the opportunity to highlight specific authors and monthly content. Books won't be hidden behind one another, but instead they will be presented for all students to see and touch. I find that a lot of students learn best when they can visually see and touch objects. This shelf will do just that!
The opportunity to have this bookshelf in our classroom would truly change how we see books.
