We will use our Rubik's cubes to complete the "You Can Do the Rubik’s Cube" Program. The "You Can Do the Rubik's Cube" curriculum is a fully developed program for students to walk them through tough problem solving and challenging mental work as they learn the common core standards associated with their grade levels.
Students will complete lessons that will allow them to "master" the Rubik's cube. Math and STEM lessons have been designed to engage students with an interactive and tangible way to learn the many math disciplines. Some of those math concepts include area, perimeter, volume, angles, algorithms, and enumeration, among many other geometry and algebraic topics. Cube lessons will be linked to Google Classroom.
Student outcomes include increased self-esteem, increased willingness to take risks, opportunity to overcome the fear of failure and developed critical/creative thinking skills.
This curriculum is tested, research-based and offers excellent resources for our classroom to engage in critical problem-solving! Your support is so greatly appreciated as we build our future minds!
