Our Pre-K program is guided by many different entities such as ECERS and DHS. Part of these requirements mandates that children should be provided unstructured activities that promote creativity. During the required 60 minutes of outdoor activity, students have the opportunity to ride trikes, play with balls, climb and build. However, when the trikes are out, the students are unable to use chalk to create on the sidewalk.
With the outdoor flower chalkboards our students would have the opportunity to create on a daily basis. This would allow our students to be creative even when they are outdoors for 60 minutes a day.
