This is my first year teaching and I walked into a classroom full of possibilities and potential. However, I also found I lack in some very important resources...books and educational games.
Reading is a passion in my life and my hope is to pass that passion on to every student I encounter. I want to create a classroom library where my students can check out a book and enjoy it for however long they need it. Most of my students have a hard time loving to read because they have a difficult time reading period. I would like to give them ample opportunities to find that genre that sparks their minds and brings joy to their lives.
I also found that learning math and language arts can be more intriguing when you can incorporate it in a game. Keeping their attention and getting them to learn without them realizing they are working makes for a fun and productive school day.
