A sturdy classroom mail center will help my students be instantly accountable for assignments, which will increase their productivity in the classroom. The goal is to increase the responsibility that they take for their learning. This mail center would also help to facilitate communication between home and classroom. My current system is a crate with folders. It is flimsy and difficult to track. A mail center would provide instant feedback on who has turned in what or on who has papers that still need to go home. I try to give my students as much ownership in our classroom as I can. This includes classroom jobs. One of the responsibilities that they rotate through is mail delivery. This mail center system would be much easier for them to use when completing this task. Thank you so much for your consideration!
