Flexible seating can ease anxiety and improve the learning environment of a classroom. When students are comfortable they can focus for longer periods of time which leads to higher academic achievement. This type of seating also allows students to burn off some energy throughout the day. With a large population of English Learns, GLAD is a way to help students achieve higher academic English. With using GLAD strategies in the classroom, there is a higher need for supplies, such as markers, crayons, and ways to organize them. Students often struggle in math with concepts that are too abstract. With the use of flexible seating and GLAD strategies, I hope to ease some of these struggles and anxiety.
