I have 25 English language learners enrolled in my classroom. All of my students are hispanic and have parents who work rigorously in the fields. My students are energetic, arduous workers, and driven to learn.Their curiosity has helped them appreciate books. They take chances by asking questions that will lead to rich classroom discussions. As a result, my students are hungry for knowledge!
My students have a high interest in school as it provides them with the opportunity to learn in a safe environment. The majority of my students come to school with a lot of issues. My students face many adversities that cause stress and anxiety in their daily lives. Poverty, hunger, homelessness, absent father/mother, and witnessing gang violence are some of the obstacles that my students experience every day. Education is the key to escape their harsh reality. These young children will be the leaders of the future!
