My classroom is a very energetic group of special needs students age five to eight. We all learn in different ways and each child has their individualized education plan and goals. We work independently and as a group to achieve academic goals and functional and social goals. While we are learning to read, recognize letters, letter sounds. writing skills, counting, shapes, addition and subtraction; we also learn to share, take turns, manners, use kind words, controlling our impulses, among other social skills. We also learn how to wash our hands, or sit at a table or other self-help skills. When you support my classroom, you help provide different sensory tools to release energy or redirect behaviors. You also help me bring a variety of resources and games for my students to learn hands-on and help me create our own materials so we can reuse them and take care of them. Thank you for your support and generosity!!!!!
