I would love to have the chance to offer alternatives to sitting at a desk in our classroom. Almost all of my student have stated that they learn best sitting comfortably on the floor or laying down. I currently do not have any alternative options other than sitting at a desk in our classroom. The first step to being focused and ready to learn is being comfortable and happy!!! I have been in classrooms before that have had the option of alternative seating and the students loved them. This has been especially helpful for the students that have had difficulties with focusing. This is a simple change that can have a huge impact on a student’s abilities to learn and participate in the classroom.
