The book, World Without Fish, will allow me to showcase the many different ways human activity is impacting our ocean. Each chapter includes heavy scientific topics broken down into illustrations, stories, and "what ifs" that students at all abilities can relate to and comprehend.
My goal is to have students become more scientifically literate. I will utilize each chapter as an extended learning source when covering different topics in Marine Science. For example, when learning about climate change we will look at how climate change is impacting fish in the ocean. The comic book-like illustrations along with the story like formatting will really help to engage my students.
